Examples in environment ARMmbed
Maraczek, Patrik ; Marada, Tomáš (referee) ; Zuth, Daniel (advisor)
The bachelor’s thesis contains basic information for working with microcontroller properly in ARMmbed integrated development environment. Thesis describe microcontroller, microchips, chip’s periphery, ARMmbed environment. Also manual is written for this environment. Four examples are solved at the end of thesis to explain how extended devices and sensors are working. Devices like 4-bit seven-segmented display, LED diodes, ultrasound sensor SRF02.
Development localization board
Szabó, Michal ; Novotný, Radovan (referee) ; Levek, Vladimír (advisor)
This document describes a device capable to determine geographical position thanks to its GNSS module and measure the change of movement with the help of an accelerometer and gyroscope. Outputs of these integrated circuits are combined, data are processed and fused thanks to a numerical integration and mathematical filters. Results are stored on a memory card. The whole development is described from a concept, through the making of the device and software algorithms to the testing of its functions.
Educational KIT for MBED platform
Maštálka, Daniel ; Levek, Vladimír (referee) ; Šteffan, Pavel (advisor)
Thesis is about new educational kit based on Nucleo platform, which uses mbed developer compiler. Educational kit is being designed with peripherals which are warranted. Also mbed compiler is descibed and manual is written for it. In last chapter there are five slideshows made for lectures. And five exercises which are realized by students in classroom.
Universal LED Source for testing of the light guide properties
Feilhauer, Jaromír ; Chmela, Ondřej (referee) ; Novák, Lukáš (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the design of the LED source for testing the properties of light guides of car headlights. The thesis mainly includes the theory of the DC - DC converters, their categorization and the basic properties of the individual types of circuits. The design part is focused on the selection of the required chips. The importance of the chip as the basic description, characteristics and calculations of the values associated components are included. Then it follows with the design of the circuit diagram and the printed circuit, software and communication packet development and measurement results of real sample.
Smart solution for emergency call in cars
Haniška, Jan ; Štůsek, Martin (referee) ; Pokorný, Jiří (advisor)
This bechoral thesis is focused on design and realization of initial device prototype, which will be able to retrofit older vehicles with the system for emergency calling similar to eCall. Retrofitting is done by connecting the device to the diagnostic connector OBD. First part of thesis describes basic technologies used during device design, as CAN bus, dignostic connector OBD-II, communication protocols used in automotive industry or evaluation method for crash etc. Also there are described general requirements for this device according to European Union directives. Practical part of thesis is aimed at realization of vehicles electronic cotrol unit emulator needed for development. Then there is described device design, where are chosen components like GPS module, GSM modem, accelerometer and development board for control of entire device. Last part of thesis is focused on realization of device prototype. As main component of entire device was chosen development board NUCLEO-F103RB, made by manufacturer STMicroelectronics. During software development were used HAL libraries from this manufacturer. Also were created two new libraries. First library called CAN_data_load is used for communication between vehicles electronical control unit emulator by CAN bus interface and subsequent data processing and second one called GPS_load_control for data acqusition from GPS module and their processing. Finally there is described commissioning and service of created experimental workplace with realized prototype device. For this procedures were created additional instructions.
Probe for Determining the Surface Condition of Small Diameter Barrels
Procházka, Adam ; Goldmann, Tomáš (referee) ; Malaník, Petr (advisor)
This thesis focuses on the analysis of methods for measuring surface profiles, as well as the design and implementation of a device for their measurement. The implemented device utilizes non-contact triangulation profilometry techniques to determine the surface profile by projecting a laser line onto the surface and capturing the projected shape at a non-zero observation angle. It alse collects information about the surface’s image texture under LED illumination. In addition to data on image texture and profile, data on the position of the captured images is also collected using a sensor measuring the device’s distance from the end of the barrel. The work also includes the design and implementation of custom control modules for the chosen LED and laser diode. The output from the device is presented in a user application. The device is designed to function in tubes with diameters from 40 millimeters.
